Older Adult Quality of Life within an Assisted Living Facility amid COVID-19

This study aimed to illustrate assisted living facility (ALF) resident quality of life (QOL) prior intergenerational with graduate health science students and allowed investigation QOL in older adults during COVID-19. A mixed methods approach utilizing the Quality Life Scale (QOLS), Geriatric Depression Scale-15 item, demographics survey was utilized 10 participants at an ALF. Eight were recruited complete interviews further QOLS categories lowest median scores included: physical health, participation organizations, learning, understanding self, socializing. Positive screens for depression risk occurred 40 percent residents. Themes impacting Disconnectedness & Activity Changes, Uncertainty, Insight.
